I was pretty free with 2 months of holidays in front of me when I happened to stumble upon this anime movie on one of my usual download websites. For those who’re looking for a change of taste from your usual shounen anime, this anime might interest you, for it has left me with tears.
15-years-old Takao Akizuki, who yearns to become a shoemaker, skips school and sketches shoes in a Japanese-style garden on rainy days. He meets a mysterious 27-year-old woman, Yukari Yukino, who spends her time drinking beer and eating chocolate. Then, without arranging the time, the two start to see each other again and again, but only on rainy days. They deepen their relationship and open up to each other, although they never exchange their names. But the end of the rainy season soon approaches, the days go by without them meeting in the garden. Days go by with them being alone, and missing each other. One day, Takao realizes that Yukino is actually a teacher at his high-school as she walks by.
Guess what, I’ve been offered the prestigious Malaysia National Scholarship 2013! Such a pleasant surprise. I didn’t expect it. I knew I would get good grades for my SPM 2012 examination, but imagine, the top 50 for like 400000+ students?! Woah, my parents were so proud of me. =)

The long-awaited SPM Results came out yesterday, and to my pleasant surprise, I actually scored 11A+ for my SPM. Hard work finally paid off. Hurray!
I received a call from the Ministry of Education summoning me to their state department to fetch my results the day before. Nothing was mentioned, everything was hush-hush, just an order, so I was quite nervous and half scared because none of my friends experienced the same thing. Instead of celebrating my results (or crying over them) with my friends at school, I had to go to the state education department now, which was an hour journey from my hometown. Tiring. =(

So while I’m in the midst of studying Japanese, I though I would share some very basic Japanese greetings and expressions with you guys. Although this is highly impossible, who knows there might just be some otakus out there who don’t know an inch of Japanese?
*Note that some of my translations may not be direct translations from the Japanese language, but the meanings are there and can be used as according to how the English translation is used in the English language.

So sorry for not writing on anything for a month. But then, if you consider that I’m studying for A-Levels, JLPT, IELTS, catching up with the latest animes and taking kendo lessons at the same time, I think I’m perfectly excusable and should be forgiven. /.\
Anyway, this post is just to rant on my A-Level Economics subject, so if you want to avoid yourself from a biased essay filled with meaningless comments and vulgarities, I suggest that you click the red “X” button on the upper-right side of your screen right now. Read at your own risk!

It’s been a while since I wrote anything. The fact is, I was busy getting used to college life and doing college stuff. At first I thought that after my SPM exams, I could just sit back and relax for 6 months, watching animes and slacking while waiting for my results, and also a scholarship, if I’m lucky. However, my dad suddenly decided that rather than to let me slack and let my brains rust away, it would be better to send me to college straight away, out of his own pocket lol.
It was a bit of rush actually, applying for college and hostel at the last minute, but somehow I managed it. Yeah, I’m staying away from home, since the college is too far away from my home to drive to and fro everyday. So there goes all my beautifully planned holiday plans. T.T

Animes are damn awesome! I don’t think I could survive without anime, neither could you huh?
Anime has its ups and downs. It leaves us with a deeper understanding of the japan culture, japanese language and a lot of laughter. For those more brilliant and hardcore otakus, they even end up mastering the japanese language. And i don’t know if its me only, I also end up drooling all over my keyboard over those moe girls in animes. lol.
